As the selection process continues to appoint the next Maryland State Fire Marshal I remain committed to ensuring our office provides our stakeholders the highest level of service possible. It is an honor and privilege to work alongside the finest and most dedicated group of sworn and civilian employees in our industry. 

Our agency provides comprehensive fire engineering, fire code enforcement, fire investigation, and bomb squad response throughout the State of Maryland and supports our fire service and law enforcement partners to prevent fires and explosions from occurring.

The agency has provided outstanding service to Marylanders for over 50 years and during that time the agency has grown and developed into one of the finest in the nation. As an agency, we will continue to move forward and embrace the many challenges that face us.
