Our Helicopter Sections are the most visible part of the Aviation Command. The seven Helicopter Sections are grouped into Regions. Each year our Flight Crews transport many sick and injured patients to the hospital, search for missing persons and assist State and local law enforcement agencies with numerous other missions.

In addition to the seven MSP Helicopter Sections listed to the left, three other helicopters provide Law Enforcement and Medevac assistance in Maryland. The United States Park Police maintains three helicopters (Eagle 1, Eagle 2 & Eagle 3) based at the "Eagles Nest" at Anacostia Park in Washington, DC. Their assistance is invaluable to the Command and they are a valued asset in our system.
