(Pikesville, MD) – State medical examiners have ruled that the death of a Harford County woman whose body was found yesterday outside the building where she taught juvenile offenders is a homicide.
The victim, Hannah E. Wheeling, 65, of Bel Air, Md., was found dead yesterday morning outside the Murphy School building beside the Cheltenham Youth Facility in Cheltenham, Md. The victim’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
The autopsy was conducted today. Medical examiners concluded the victim died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries and the manner of her death was homicide. Further tests are being conducted and additional results are pending. Additional details will not be released due to the ongoing investigation.
No one has been charged in connection with the murder at this time. State Police homicide investigators continue to follow up on leads, conduct interviews, and examine evidence. Investigators continue to brief officials in the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office regarding the ongoing investigation.
